In the last 3 years we can identify Increase of murder and attempted murder cases:
Increase of carjacking cases and robbery at non-residential premises. The number of common assaults has dropped significantly d and common robbery cases has decreased while robbery with aggravating circumstances and theft out of or from motor vehicles are on the increase.
Johannesburg CBD, Soweto and Hillbrow still have the highest the crime rate, but in terms of crime percentage increase over last the last 3 years, Sandton recorded the sharpest increased, ahead of Midrand and Bramley.
It is worth mentioning that OR Tambo international airport which also showed a big increase from commercial crime to aggressive robbery.
